The birth, life and ministry of Jesus Christ
The Lord Jesus Christ became man for Salvation of the World over 2000 years ago, but before the creation of the world He existed from all eternity (John 1:1-10, 8:58, 17:5), and His coming was foretold in different ages and to different men. It is no mere chance as some critics think - tha all these prophecies were literally fulfilled in Christ. It is the work of that One Eternal Spirit, who, in sundry times and in divers manners, foretold the coming of the Savior in order that they might prepare for Him.
But 'chance' is a word used to explain any phenomenon when we are ignorant of the causes which brought it into being; but in reality nothing in the world has no cause. For example, the falling of a ripe fruit by itself is no mere chance. It was for months silently being prepared for a special object. When the fruit was ripe, the tree, which could not eat its own fruit, gave it up for the pleasure and enjoyment of others. So Jesus said, 'these are the words which I spoke unto you...that in the law of Moses, and in the Prophets, and in the Pslams concerning me.' (Lk 24:44); and, in the fullness of time, He gave to the world the fruit of Salvation. ( Sadhu Sunder Singh, pg 163-164)
The birth, life and ministry of Guru Nanak
Guru Nanak was born on the 15th of April 1469 into the Kshastriya caste in Talwandi, West Punjab. His father, Kalyan Chand kept revenue records for a prosperous landlord named Rai Buler, a Rajput oncert to Islam.
There was rejoicing and celebration at Nanak's birth as the family's Brahmin priest, Pandit Hardyal, and a midwife agreed that the child had an exceptional aura about him. The horoscope prepared by Hardyal predicted that Hindus and Muslims alike would acknowledge Nanak as a philosopher-teacher and that he, in turn, would make no distinction between them.
